We identify and execute on trading opportunities in the ever changing decentralized finance space. Using Ethereum integrated software and custom smart contracts we take advantage of unique chances presented as the DeFi landscape changes at lightspeed.

We use a variety of technologies: NodeJS and Python for blockchain integration, solidity and vyper for smart contracts. In addition, we utilize PostgreSQL, redis, bash, linux, etc. Generally, we try to use whatever tool is best for the job, without letting the stack grow too complicated.

We own our technology from end to end, hardware and software, with the support of Uphold technology organization at large. As a geographically distributed team, our process is highly collaborative. Most of the hard thinking is done before any code has been written.


The Opportunity:


We're looking for someone who creates libraries and services with empathy for the user, be they internal or external. You may be launching and supporting your own products, and owning user facing features. Ideally, you will be able to independently identify and execute on needs within the organization. 


What you'll be doing primarily and required qualifications:


  • Have at least three years experience in software engineering.
  • Have skills and knowledge of best practices in design and security.
  • Are strong in NodeJS or Python.
  • Strong interest in and some experience with blockchain technology.
  • Have experience with Ethereum smart contract development.
  • Excel at learning languages quickly.
  • Are comfortable collaborating remotely.
  • Have experience working with services or distributed systems.
  • Are comfortable with Linux and shell scripting.
  • Have experience with Git.
  • Have experience with testing practices.


Bonus if you have experience with:


  • MySQL or Postgres
  • AWS
  • Makefiles
  • K8s
  • Networking
